Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 1/20/2025

On this day, we celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a true champion of justice and equality.

In 1964, at just 35 years old, Dr. King became the youngest person to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Recognized for his tireless leadership in the Civil Rights Movement, he fought for racial equality, justice, and nonviolent change.

Through his powerful speeches, like the iconic "I Have a Dream," and his unwavering commitment to peaceful protest, Dr. King sparked a revolution that changed the course of history. His legacy continues to inspire us all to work toward a more just, equal, and peaceful world.

We gathered together to listen to various speeches, peruse books, reflect and eat birthday cake. We’re very grateful to everyone that made the trip, in temperatures 19 degrees below zero.
